Just a few minutes walk from the apartments is Argiano’s impressive cantina, here, guests can enjoy a personal behind the scenes tour of the award-winning winery, Tenuta Cappellina.

The estate stretches for 2km with most of the area covered in woodland with plenty of wildlife sighting opportunities including deer and wild boar. The lower border is defined by the river Arbia, made famous by Dante in his Divine Comedy as he described the river running red after the battle of nearby Monteaperti, where the Sienese defeated the Florentines in the 13th century battle depicted as the bloodiest battle of the Italian middle ages.

At the centre of the hamlet you will find a romantic chapel decorated with frescos and stained-glass windows.
